Fast Ferrum – Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 25, 2026

Last updated: July 8, 2026

Fast Ferrum (“Fast Ferrum,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Canadian electronics brand based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information on our product website at www.fastferrum.com (the “Site” or the “website”).

The Site is informational only, showcasing products. You cannot buy anything on it, there is no checkout, no payment system, you cannot create an account, or subscribe to anything. When you want to purchase a Fast Ferrum product, the Site links you to third-party retail sites of Parts Avatar and Amazon where any purchase is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

We collect very little information, and this policy is deliberately short and written in plain language. We are committed to being transparent about our data practices and to respecting your privacy in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.

1. What We Collect

(a) Contact/Support form. If you choose to contact us through the Site, we collect your name, email address, subject line, and message. We use this only to respond to you. We do not use it for marketing or promotional campaigns, and we do not add you to any mailing list.

(b) Website analytics (Google Analytics). With your consent (see Section 3), Google Analytics collects technical and usage information when you visit the Site, including:

  • Device type and browser information;
  • Pages viewed and time spent on the Site;
  • The referring website or search engine;
  • General geographic location (country or city level) derived from your IP address; and
  • IP-based usage data.

We treat analytics data as potentially personal information that we use only in aggregate. Under Canadian law, IP addresses and online identifiers (such as cookie IDs) can be personal information, so we do not describe this data as anonymous or non-personal. We use it solely to understand overall Site traffic and improve the Site, never to identify or profile individual visitors.

(c) Routine technical information. Like virtually every website, our hosting infrastructure automatically records limited technical data in server logs (such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps), and the Site uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies required for it to function and stay secure. This information is used only to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site.

2. How We Use It

  • To analyze Site traffic and usage patterns in aggregate;
  • To improve Site functionality and performance;
  • To identify technical issues and maintain the security of the Site; and
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not send marketing emails or newsletters, do not run advertising or remarketing, do not build user profiles, and do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

3. Cookies and Your Consent

We do not use cookies for advertising or personalization. Beyond the strictly necessary cookies described above, the only cookies on the Site are Google Analytics cookies, which measure how the Site is used.

Because these analytics cookies involve technology that can identify or profile visitors, we do not activate them until you consent through our cookie banner (Quebec Law 25, s. 8.1). The banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies, declining is as easy as accepting, and you can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link on the Site. Strictly necessary cookies operate without consent because the Site cannot function without them.

You can additionally opt out of Google Analytics in any browser using Google's Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or manage cookies through your browser settings.

4. Where Your Information Goes

We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information. Information is shared only:

  • With Google, as our analytics provider, in connection with the analytics described above;
  • With service providers who host the Site and process contact form submissions on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations;
  • When required by law, court order, or other lawful demand; and
  • To protect the rights, safety, or property of Fast Ferrum or its users.

Contact form submissions are never sold or shared for marketing purposes.

Transfers outside Canada: The website host and Google Analytics processes data on servers located in the United States. While personal information is in the United States, it may be accessible to US courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities under US law. For Quebec residents, before communicating personal information outside Quebec, we conduct the assessment required and rely on contractual safeguards with our providers.

5. Retention of Your Data

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, and then securely delete it.

Contact form submissions are kept for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and manage reasonable follow-up, after which they are deleted in accordance with our internal retention schedule.

Google Analytics data is retained in accordance with our configured retention settings, after which it is automatically deleted by Google. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted or overwritten.

6. How We Protect It

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including HTTPS encryption for data submitted through the Site. No internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Under Canada's federal privacy law (PIPEDA) you may (subject to legal exceptions):

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information; and
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits.

If you are a Quebec resident, Law 25 also gives you the right to request erasure or cessation of dissemination/de-indexation of your personal information in certain circumstances (ss. 28, 28.1), and data portability, a copy of the computerized personal information you provided to us, in a structured, commonly used technological format (s. 27(3)).

To exercise any of these rights, contact our Privacy Officer (Section 10). We respond within 30 days.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (consistent with the position of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and, for US visitors, the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act). In Quebec, personal information of a minor under 14 is collected only with the consent of the person having parental authority, unless collection is clearly for the minor's benefit (Law 25, s. 64.1). If you believe a minor has submitted information through our Site, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

9. Third-Party Sites and Social Media

The Site contains links to third-party sites, including Parts Avatar, Amazon, and our social media profiles (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and others). These are outbound links only and we do not embed third-party content that tracks you on our Site. Once you leave the Site, the privacy practices of those platforms are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to review.

10. Privacy Officer, Questions, and Complaints

Fast Ferrum is a registered brand of High Gear Holdings, the organization responsible for personal information handled through the Site. We have designated a Privacy Officer responsible for the protection of personal information (PIPEDA Accountability principle; Law 25, s. 3.1):

  • Email: privacy@fastferrum.com
  • Mail: Privacy Officer, Fast Ferrum, 245 Matheson Blvd E, Mississauga, ON, Canada L4Z 3K2

If you are not satisfied with our response to a concern, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) and, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information (cai.gouv.qc.ca).

11. Changes to This Policy

If our practices change, for example, if we add new tools, features, or a newsletter, we will update this policy, revise the “Last updated” date, and, where the law requires, notify you or seek your consent before the new practice begins.
